Head to Head: Competitive Trivia #6 w/ Amanda Kinsey vs Professor Randy Hunt

Social Worker, actor, and improviser Amanda Kinsey competes against Professor Randy Hunt. Can Amanda unseat Alisa Rosenthal from her number one place on our leaderboard and prove once and for all that he has what it takes to defeat a fake professor? Can Randy unseat our Headmaster on the Faculty leaderboard? Find out on this episode of Balderdash Academy's Head to Head with Coach Steve Corning and special guest Co-Host Headmaster Bob LeBlanc.

Amanda Kinsey

Amanda has been performing as an improv artist and stage actor for the last seven years. She is currently serving in the Board of Directors for the Theatre of Monmouth, a world-renowned theatre company. Amanda has a passion for combining the principles of improv and mental health recovery to improve the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Amanda is currently working as the Assistant Director of Village Clubhouse. She's pleased to announce that Underground Improv has returned to live shows at Craft Brew Underground and the Somerset Abbey. Mystery or Hire and Mainely Improv are returning for live shows starting May 15th. I will be working with SPQRL Burlesque on combining improv and burlesque. Check them out online for classes and performances.

Professor Randy Hunt

If it's theatre-related, Randy Hunt does it -- acting, directing, and even playwriting -- though he likely won't be stage managing ever again (hats off to the Stage Managers out there). He is particularly proud of the award-winning short plays he's written, and is very excited to unleash his first full-length play Inside Man to the world in 2021. Randy enjoys performing improv, especially since Southern Maine has so many talented improvisers to work with, and he is a proud member of the ComedySportz Maine improv team. Randy also hosts and cohosts various podcasts. We All Have a Story highlights the stories of the people around us for which we may not otherwise hear their stories (Headmaster Bob was the guest in Episode 2!), DeScripted, where he and his cohost Tyler Costigan take a closer look at the plays that have won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama since it was first awarded in 1918. He is also the cohost of Balderdash Academy’s Head to Head: Competitive Trivia with Coach Steve.

Randy is thrilled to be an occasional visiting professor on Balderdash Academy when one of the other professors calls in sick and a full-time faculty member of the Teacher’s Lounge podcast, and cohost of Head to Head: Competitive Trivia. More information about Randy can be found on his website, www.randyhunt.info.

Make sure to catch Randy in Theater Unmasked's production of Steven Hayet's Everlasting Chocolate Therapy Saturday, May 22nd at 7:00pm and Sunday, May 23rd at 2:00pm.
